Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has explained the need to rope in reinforcements at Masandawana ahead of the 2020/2021 campaign.
According to the Mamelodi Sundowns mentor, Sundowns are going all out in the transfer market in a bid to get the team back into the FIFA Club Work Cup.
According to local reports, Pitso Mosimane will soon have the likes of Bidvest Wits trio Ricardo Goss, Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa while Peter Shalulile and Mothobi Mvala are also linked to the triple league champions. George Maluleka and Lesedi Kapinga have already arrived to add to Mosimane's arsenal.
“We put the team in the Champions League again this year and now we must fight to be in the Fifa Club World Cup next year because there are three spots available for African teams‚” Mosimane told reporters.

“We are hoping that we make the semi-finals or the final during the coming season. Probably that is one of the reasons we are really strengthening the team‚ a lot of people will say why we are signing so many players. We have the African adventure that we are pursuing and not many people are pursuing that route.
“We need ammunition and numbers because I know about landing from Morocco on Monday and playing in Thohoyandou on Wednesday and leaving the next day. We can’t operate with a team where when Themba Zwane or Gaston Sirino are injured or suspended we are huffing and puffing.
“We also deserve a chance to sign players because everybody has been signing‚ give us a chancee. Let us also sign because we only signed two players last year and the myth and the perception is that we are signing a lot of players.”
