Mike Makaab has refuted claims Anele Ngcongca has left Mamelodi Sundowns, after Belgian side KSV Roeselare announced a deal for the player on Monday.
The 32-year-old right back joined the Brazilians from another Belgian team, Genk, where he spent almost 10 years, and has become an invaluable member of Pitso Mosimane's side since.
Ngcongca was seen to be wearing a Roeselare jersey in a social media post, with Makaab saying: "You can photoshop things like that. I don't understand, to be honest with you. I can only tell you categorically that he has signed a new deal with Sundowns and not today [but] more than a month ago."
"Anele has signed a new contract with Sundowns and honestly, I don't want to give you more comment than that because I was involved in a new contract." Mekaab told Sowetan.
Sundowns communications manager Shupi Nkgadima revealed that Ngcongca will clear up the issue surrounding his reported departure this week.
"It will be a statement from the player that we will issue. He will talk on the issue hopefully today (Wednesday) in the afternoon, if not tomorrow (Thursday). He will talk, not me or Yogesh Singh (general manager),"
