Cape Town City defender Thamsanqa Mkhize believes it will take some time for players to get back into rhythm after the 3 month hiatus from football in the Premier Soccer League.
The Citizens skipper also touched on the upcoming AFCON 2021 which he feels is unlikely to go ahead as originally scheduled.
“I feel for the coaches and the players because going back to play after over three months while we have been training individually it will take a sizeable time to get back into the rhythm of the game,” Mkhize told SunSport.
“As for the national team coach Molefi, I’m sure he wishes to have assembled a team this year and see us playing. I don’t think it is possible for the Afcon to be played.”
