Premier Soccer League Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza has confirmed that the Absa Premiership, GladAfrica Championship and remaining Nedbank Cup Fixtures will come to a close before the 31st of August.
Khoza also confirmed that KwaZulu-Natal have produced a beautiful pitch to host the end of the entire end of the season for both leagues however a decision hasn't been made yet. The league are currently looking at two separate provinces to host remaining fixtures however should a single province like KwaZulu-Natal be able to host both leagues, the league will opt for the latter.
"We have since received a pitch from KZN which was a beautiful pitch. It's unbelievable," Khoza told SundayTimes.
"Our application says we need two provinces but if one province can accommodate all the teams, so be it. The report of the task team will indicate how many fixtures and how many weeks we require because we must finish everything by August 31.
"We have been procedural in our approach all along. The date of the resumption of training and matches will be dealt with in that meeting. We have to allow teams to train first because if we don't that there will be too many injuries."
