Former Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic is wary of the threat posed by African giants when his side Zamalek face them today but maintains his team is strong enough to earn the CAF Champions League title.
Zamalek are the current CAF Confederations Cup Champions while Micho has been tasked with brining the Egyptian giants back to the top of African Football by winning the much desired CAF Champions League trophy.
“There are some obstacles that will face us like artificial turf, the weather and the fans,” Sredojevic told King Fut.
“That is why we arrived earlier to get used to the atmosphere. We will battle for a positive result. It is an important game considering it’s our opener in the group stages.
“We know the opposition’s worth well and also their coach is a friend of mine. I know Mazembe’s players’ abilities but Zamalek are the CAF Confederations Cup champions and everyone is ready for this encounter.”
